Each fountain comes with a detailed instruction manual, but some users experience difficulties with pump installation and filter placement. Make sure to position the pump correctly in its designated compartment, with the outlet facing upward, before attaching the top section with the carbon filter. For stainless steel models, check all connections for proper sealing.
The most common cause is clogging due to pet hair or mineral buildup. To maintain optimal performance, disassemble the pump every 2–3 months and soak it in a solution of vinegar and water (1:1) for 30 minutes. If the issue persists, check your warranty—Veken provides customer support for replacement parts.
Filters should be replaced every 2–4 weeks, depending on the number of pets and water hardness. Genuine replacement cartridges are available on the official Veken website in packs of 4, 8, or 16. Before installation, rinse the new filter under running water to remove any manufacturing residue.
All Veken fountains are made from BPA-free plastic or food-grade stainless steel, certified for pet safety. For puppies and kittens, models with a reinforced cable and a stable base are recommended to prevent tipping over.
A full disassembly and wash with warm, soapy water is required weekly. Use the cleaning brush included in the package to reach tight spaces. Stainless steel components are dishwasher-safe. Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the surface.
